The Objective

One of India’s leading Life Insurance companies Aegon Religare Life Insurance, known for providing unique
& consumer beneficial products, ventured into a nascent but high growth category – Health Insurance Plans.
The AEGON Religare Health Plan proposition is to provide a comprehensive health plan which other Health
Insurance Plans fail or provide incomplete coverage.

The launch was exclusively online and had a 3 pronged objective:
• Build awareness • Create Engagement • Lead Generation

The Solution

We had to reach consumers in the age group of 25-45 years in the top 15 cities, especially those who are
neither physically active nor conscious of what they eat.

We strategized to create a high-octane media activity with evocative & innovative communication that was used
to launch the product and drive traffic to the product website that we created. The highlight of the website was
the Calorie Calculator which indirectly made people break their inertia & procrastination towards Health Insurance
Plans. The calculator assessed consumers’ current calorie consumption, ideal calorie consumption & recommended
a diet.

The online ad creative route was based on the insight that inertia is one of the biggest reasons for taking one’s
health for granted even though consumers are aware of the ills of being inactive & dangers associated with
indulgent food habits. The creative focused on different aspects: Indulgent food & risks, physical activities &
calorie focused. These were used to lead consumers to the health plan website or specifically the calorie
calculator.

The media campaign reached users across on high traffic portals, news, business and finance sites, Search &
sites related to health, fitness, wellness as well as relevant networks for lead generation. The ad units were
a mix of large & impactful banners, rollover banners, expandos banner to calculate ideal calories in the banner
itself & an innovative dynamic real-time banner based on the sensex that tracked the fall and rise of the share
market and equated this with gain & loss of calories.


The Results

The campaign delivered over 32 Mn impressions & 1.3 Lakh clicks. Banners that led to the calorie calculator saw
a high conversion to calculator usage, in addition the leads generated also resulted in above average conversion
to sale. Within a limited budget, we ensured Exposure, Interest & Engagement for this online only campaign.
